This video explains:
All good? Lets continue
Its important to understand that Powur is part of something much bigger than you first realize.
In essence, it acts as a sales division for SolarCity, a large, well-known and powerful solar installer, financier, and soon-to-be manufacturer.
Youve probably heard of SolarCity. They announced this summer (1) that theyre working on building a huge factory in upstate New York which will become the largest of its kind in the Western hemisphere. Theyre giving China a run for its money in the production of cheaper solar panels.
SolarCity is the largest installer of solar panels in the United States. Theyve cornered 34.4% of the market share of solar panel installation and the Chairman is none other than brilliant businessman Elon Musk. Mr.Musk is co-founder of PayPal, CEO of Tesla (electric car company), and CEO of SpaceX.
At the end of this summer, in August 2015, Elon Musk bought $5 million more shares in SolarCity (2). The industry is consolidating, and SolarCity is one of the last big players remaining. After being characterized as fragmented by a proliferation of many smaller companies, the solar industry now has fewer competitors (like North American Power or Viridian).
Now its a game for major players only, so its good to know Powur is backed by the right one.
If its good enough for Elon Musk, its good enough for me.
Nevertheless, lets take a look at Powurs management. After all, Mr.Musk invested in SolarCity, not Powur.
Founder Jonathon Budd has a history in network marketing, but its really CEO Andrea Budd who has the business acumen. Shes got over three decades of experience in business, and thats from outside the world of MLM (so it counts moreseriously). Theyre based in Del Mar, CA and were founded in 2014. So far, there is no negative buzz about this company or its management.
What youre actually selling when you join Powur is a contract. The contract is to have SolarCity come and install solar panels on your property.
The brilliant part is: you dont have to try and sell actual solar panels. Thats because the contract is for a lease, not a purchase. SolarCity owns, maintains, and monitors the whole setup, so all the consumer does is sign up, pay the leasing fees, and start saving money on utility bills.
Here are the benefits:
theres no money down
no installation costs
no maintenance fees
solar rates are locked in, so when the utility company raises their price, youre still purchasing your power from Powur at the same base rate
The Powur opportunity is exciting, even for people who otherwise have no interest in starting a home-based business or making money online. Thats because as a Powur associate, youre participating in something truly revolutionary.
Most people still believe that solar power is not for them, but they are completely wrong. Here are the INCORRECT notions they have:
its too expensive (its not, as you learned earlier)
its huge and ugly (wrong again)
the payback period is too long (nope)
its just for hippies and rich people (oh boy, so wrong!)
This is all changing, thanks to cheaper solar panels, President Obamas campaign for efficient energy (3), and the fact that you can now LEASE solar panels instead of purchasing them.
And the market is HUGE. Right now only 1% of the USs energy comes from solar. That means the room for growth is tremendous.
You just have to relay all this to your leads, and the commissions should start flowing. Heres a look at what youd be dealing with if you signed up with Powur:
The Powur Compensation Plan:
To become a Powur Partner, you must complete a Partner Certification course. After you pass that, you can start working on your Proposals and finally the contracts and installations. Heres what those terms mean:
Proposal. A homeowner whos qualified by SolarCity to get solar panels installed.
Contract. A homeowner who signs a contract to have the panels installed to pay the lease.
Install. A completed solar installation.
Heres how you earn money with Powur:
$250 for every contract
get 3 in a month, earn $50 for each additional contract that month
earn $75 once you get your first 3 proposals
enroll new partners, and get $75 when they get their first 3 proposals
you earn rewards ($100 for every partner who submits 3 proposals) on every other enrollee, with the rest passed up the line, down to as many levels as you can muster
earn LeaderMatch rewards on every other partner at 50% match on your sponsored partners in the pass-up line
more rewards as you gain momentum, grow you team, and increase your sales
Its free to join, but if you want to make money, the buy-in is $199. Thats actually just the cost of the Solar Certification Program. It trains you in solar principles as well as marketing techniques.
The one downside to all this is that SolarCity wont install panels just anywhere. The current map of active SolarCity installation areas (4) states that they are active in 19 states. SolarCity is operational in 70% of major metropolitan areas.
That means if you live in the sticks, forget about it. At least for a while.
But if you live in a populated area, chances are youre in the money. If disrupting the utility industry sounds exciting, or if helping solar energy gain a larger foothold in the country sounds more appealing, then Powur is probably a very enticing program to consider.
Or how do $250 commissions sound, with $50 bonus when you get three signed up in a month? And joining forces in an Elon Musk company that promises to change the world for the better? The company seems exciting and impressive
And it does sound great at first.
Sadly, in the end, its another MLM company selling hype and chasing a hot opportunity. Am I a Powur hater? Absolutely not, Im far from one.
But as far as making money goes, there is a better way.
Check this out. You can leave those money-chasing habits behind you.
Our mission is to return power back to the people, literally. First by decentralizing energy production, we will move homes away from dirty, centrally controlled grid power, to 100% sustainable, clean solar energy that we control from our rooftops. And second, by shifting the wealth of fossil fuel companies to the hands of a new era of clean energy entrepreneurs.
